چکیده
Abstract The investigated cast Ni50–Ti50 shape memory alloy was prepared using a vacuum arc furnace. samples were subjected to in-vitro biocompatibility studies according ISO 10993-12:2004, and compared other Ni–Ti orthodontic wires commercially available at the dental market. hydroxyapatite-coated electrodeposition technique. effect of surface treatment on coating quality addressed. electrochemical impedance (EIS) potentiodynamic techniques. Coated also examined scanning electron microscope inspect morphology. Cytotoxicity tests MG63 H9C2 cell lines showed safety NiTi alloy, with direct relationship between incubation period tested viability. Well-adhered hydroxyapatite obtained surface-treated EDS analysis having calcium phosphorus ratio close that natural bone. Electrochemical indicated highest corrosion resistance for uncoated followed by anodized sample finally due their high porosity.

In this study, the powders of Ni and Ti with 50.5 at.% Ni for 12 h were blended and cold pressed at the different pressures (50, 75 and100 MPa).The porous product obtained after Ni-Ti compacts were synthesized by SHS (self-propagating hightemperature synthesis) in the different preheating temperatures (200, 250 and 300oC) and heating rates (30, 60 and 90oC/min). The effects of the pressure, pre...
متن کاملBSA nanoparticles loaded with IONPs for biomedical applications: fabrication optimization, physicochemical characterization and biocompatibility evaluation
Objective(s): Cancer diagnosis in its early stages of progress, can enhance the efficiency of treatment utilizing conventional therapy methods. Non-biocompatibility of iron oxide nanoparticles (IONPs) has made a big challenge against their usage as a contrast agent. Efficient coverage by biomolecules such as albumin can be a solution to overcome this problem. Herein, albumin-coated IONPs were p...

INTRODUCTION Ventricular Assist Devices (VADs) have become a means to both preserve and prolong the lives of patients with heart failure. By providing circulatory support, VADs lessen the load of the heart. Compared to traditional medical management of heart failure, VADs have a higher patient survival rate [1]. VADs are used as both a bridge to transport as well as form of destination therapy ...
متن کاملBiocompatibility evaluation of DLC-coated Si3N4 substrates for biomedical applications
DLC coatings are of enormous interest for biotribological applications due to their biocompatibility, auto-lubricious, and non-stick properties. The most demanding implant is the hip joint. Alternative materials to metal alloys are being increasingly investigated aiming low wear debris volume, in any case innocuous wear particles. Silicon nitride (Si3N4) ceramics are light, tough, mechanical re...
متن کاملCast Aluminum Alloy for High Temperature Applications
Originally developed by NASA as high performance piston alloys to meet U.S. automotive legislation requiring low exhaust emission, the novel NASA alloys now offer dramatic increase in tensile strength for many other applications at elevated temperatures from 450°F (232°C) to about 750°F (400°C). It is an ideal low cost material for cast automotive components such as pistons, cylinder heads, cyl...
